NilsonGroup selects Brink Commerce to power the next step in its digital commerce journey

NilsonGroup has selected Brink Commerce as its commerce platform as the company continues to develop its digital business and create a more connected customer experience across ecommerce and physical stores.

NilsonGroup is one of the leading footwear retailers in the Nordics, with stores and ecommerce in Sweden and Norway. The group operates more than 110 locations through two distinct retail concepts, DinSko and Skopunkten, offering a broad range of shoes at competitive prices for the whole family. Founded in 1955 by Rolf Nilsson in Åskloster outside Varberg, NilsonGroup has grown into a modern retail group with a clear focus on value for money, accessibility, and customer experience.

With its strong retail heritage and continued focus on digitalization, NilsonGroup has been looking for a long-term technology partner that can support future growth, greater flexibility, and a stronger omnichannel experience. Brink Commerce was selected following an evaluation process where the ability to support both current needs and future ambitions played an important role.

With Brink Commerce, we get a flexible foundation that can support our ambitions within ecommerce, omnichannel, and future growth,” says Johan Holmström, CIO at NilsonGroup. “We saw a need for a partner and platform that can help us develop our business going forward.”

With Brink Commerce, NilsonGroup will establish a modern commerce foundation designed to connect key systems, customer journeys, and operational flows across channels. The platform will play an important role in supporting ecommerce frontend experiences, integrating with existing ERP data, and enabling more consistent information flows between online and in-store environments.

A central part of the collaboration is the ambition to strengthen NilsonGroup’s omnichannel capabilities. The goal is to make the experience between ecommerce and stores more seamless for customers, including areas such as product availability, checkout, orders, payments, promotions, returns, and store-related flows.

A composable solution built around Brink Commerce

The solution brings together several best-of-breed components across commerce, checkout, store operations, CRM, returns, frontend, and core business systems.

Brink Commerce will act as the central commerce layer, supporting order and commerce logic and serving as the key platform for connecting the frontend experience with NilsonGroup’s existing internal setup. It will also manage promotions and discounts, and handle the integration logic needed to connect commerce flows with store systems.

The ecosystem includes Enad as the product data and content platform – PIM, DAM and DXP in one. Kustom as PSP and checkout, Sitoo for in-store POS, Voyado Engage for customer engagement and loyalty, Reclaimit for returns. Brink Commerce’s composable architecture also enables NilsonGroup to adapt the solution around its existing ERP landscape, avoiding unnecessary replacement of core internal systems.

Together, these components create a flexible and scalable foundation for NilsonGroup’s continued digital growth, while allowing the company to modernize its commerce experience without forcing a full ERP transformation.

We are incredibly proud that NilsonGroup has chosen Brink Commerce as its partner for the next step in its digital commerce journey,” says Kristian Tysander, CEO at Brink Commerce. “NilsonGroup has a strong position in the market and a clear ambition to create an even better omnichannel experience for its customers. This is exactly the kind of complex, forward-looking retail environment where Brink Commerce can create significant value.”
