AndLight, one of Europe's leading destinations for designer lighting, furniture, and home décor, has selected Brink Commerce as the commerce foundation for its next phase of growth.
The move gives AndLight a modern, modular platform built for multi-market retail, faster change, and long-term flexibility.
When AndLight launched online in 2009, selling premium designer lighting on the internet was still a bold idea. Many in the industry believed customers needed to see and touch a lamp before buying it.
AndLight proved otherwise.
With a carefully curated assortment, deep product knowledge, and a strong digital customer experience, the company found a growing audience across Europe.
Founded in 2007 under the name Luksuslamper, the company rebranded as AndLight in 2017. Since then, it has grown from a focused online lighting shop into a respected design retailer, offering lighting, furniture, and home décor through localized storefronts across several European markets. The company also operates a showroom in central Copenhagen.
As part of Egmont LivingNordic, AndLight has gained an even stronger foundation for growth. The group includes leading Scandinavian home, interior, and lifestyle brands such as Royal Design, Rum21, and Bagaren och Kocken, and generates more than SEK 2 billion in annual revenue.
AndLight's European growth has been a clear success. But growth also brings complexity.
More markets mean more storefronts, languages, currencies, pricing rules, tax requirements, campaigns, and integrations. Over time, systems that worked well in an earlier phase can become harder to maintain, harder to extend, and slower to change.
For AndLight, the existing setup had reached that point. Launching new functionality required workarounds. Expanding into new markets took too long. The platform that had supported the company's growth was beginning to limit the speed of the team.
Andreas Drougge, Group CTO at Egmont LivingNordic, said:
"AndLight has built something exceptional: a strong brand, deep product expertise, and a loyal customer base across Europe. Our job is to make sure the technology is worthy of that ambition. Our previous setup made it difficult to evolve, optimize, or add new functionality. That had to change."
To support the next stage of growth, AndLight needed a commerce foundation designed for speed, flexibility, and maintainability.
Rather than moving from one rigid platform to another, AndLight chose a modular architecture with Brink Commerce at the core for eCommerce and order management.
Brink Commerce handles the critical commerce logic across markets, including pricing, tax, campaigns and discounts, cart, checkout, and order management. Around that core, AndLight can connect the systems best suited for each part of the business.
The new stack includes Enad for PIM and DXP, Storyblok for content management, Nosto for search, Klaviyo for email and CRM, Inretrn for returns and claims, and a payment setup built around Adyen for Denmark and the rest of Europe, Avarda for Finland, Sweden, and Norway, with Qliro as a payment option.
This gives AndLight a commerce architecture that is both structured and flexible. Each component has a clear role. Each part of the stack can evolve without forcing the whole platform to be rebuilt.
The result is a setup built for multi-market retail at scale, where AndLight can keep choosing the right tools for the business while avoiding the constraints of a monolithic suite.

For AndLight, the value is not just technical. It is operational.
The new foundation gives the team:
Kristian Tysander, CEO at Brink Commerce, said:
"AndLight is a brand that has always understood that great commerce starts with great curation and a seamless customer experience. By choosing a modular commerce foundation, they make sure technology supports growth instead of slowing it down. We are proud to support a brand with this kind of heritage and ambition."
With Brink Commerce as its commerce core, AndLight gets a foundation that can support both current operations and future growth.
The company can expand into new markets faster, improve customer experiences without platform constraints, and add automation or personalization where it creates real business value.
Most importantly, AndLight can continue to evolve as customer behavior, technology, and market conditions change.
Andreas Drougge added:
"We are building for the long term. With Brink Commerce as our commerce core, we have the agility and scalability to keep pushing, in new markets, with new experiences, and with the kind of speed that lets us act on opportunities as they emerge. That is the foundation AndLight deserves."
